Share

Ah, Canada – the land of maple syrup, hockey, and, of course, sensational food.

In a recent culinary showdown, where every forkful counts, Victoria has emerged as the bronze medalist in Canada’s culinary Olympics!

The rankings are sourced from Chef’s Plate, a home meal kit company, which assessed the food scene across Canada’s 30 largest cities.

Chef’s Plate utilized four criteria to compile its rankings, namely the density of restaurants per capita, the proportion of restaurants with a rating of at least four out of five stars, the average cost of a meal for two individuals, and the monthly average of Google searches for “food in [city/town].”

Applying this methodology, Chef’s Plate determined that Vancouver attained a near-perfect score of 100 out of 100, closely trailed by Toronto with 95.6, and Victoria with 86.9.

In terms of social media presence, Toronto leads with an impressive 103,000 posts tagged #torontofood on TikTok, whereas Vancouver trails behind with only 18,300 posts.
