Pair of teens caught spray-painting Starlight Stadium in Langford: RCMP

Share

A pair of teenagers have been identified after they were caught spray-painting the home of Langford’s Pacific FC, Starlight Stadium, last week.

Sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on January 5th, two youth suspects were caught on surveillance video tagging Starlight Stadium with spray-painted graffiti at 1089 Langford Parkway.

Since then, the graffiti has been removed.

On Monday, West Shore RCMP asked for assistance initially in identifying the teens. Following an influx of tips from the public, on  January 16th, police were able to identify the suspects.

“Graffiti can negatively impact the community and businesses surrounding it. Removal of graffiti is expensive,” said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.

“In this case, the cleanup cost the City of Langford thousands of dollars. Thanks to the media and public for sharing the original release.”

“The youth suspects have both been identified. West Shore RCMP’s investigation continues.”
