Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at Panago Pizza on Bevan Avenue Friday night.
A man entered the establishment just before 1 a.m., went directly behind the counter and enticed an employee to empty the till using what appeared to be a handgun in his right hand, said Cpl. Chris Manseau.
The suspect then fled the business with a small amount of cash obtained during the robbery.
Police described the suspect as a Caucasian, with blonde hair and blonde eyebrows. He had a medium athletic build and is believed to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s.
He was wearing a black long-sleeved hoodie, green camouflage pants, dark shoes, a balaclava, and gloves.
Officers and a police services dog searched the neighbourhood, but were unable to find the suspect.
Anyone who may have seen the individual in the area is asked to contact the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP at 250-656-3931 or Crime Stoppers.
