Nanaimo RCMP have released a photo of an alleged break-and-enter suspect with hopes someone will recognize him.
According to police, an alarm went off when two men broke into Omniart Creative on Wesley Street in Nanaimo at 3:22 a.m. on Tuesday.
Officers arrived to find the front door kicked open and the interior in a state of disarray.
Two men allegedly stole musical instruments which were recovered by investigators near the business.
One suspect was located a short time later in the vicinity of the business. At the time of the offence, there were insufficient grounds to arrest him. However, police said he was positively identified and may face charges at a later time.
Video surveillance showed a second man was inside the building. He is described as a white man standing 5’8″ with a slim build and a sharp pointy nose.
The suspect was wearing a black toque and what RCMP believe to be a camouflage jacket.
The only item missing is an iPad Pro.
