Downtown Victoria was packed with people yesterday, when over a thousand people showed up to take part in the Stolen Sisters Memorial March.
The event is an annual a tribute to Indigenous women, girls, and 2spirit people who have gone missing and/or been murdered.
Approximately 1,200 people gathered at Our Place Society on Pandora Ave, before Indigenous women, youth and 2spirit drummers led the congregation down Pandora Ave to Government Street and then on to the Legislature lawn.
It all culminated with music, food, and stimulating conversation.
