Saanich Police seek witnesses in Wednesday evening bank robbery

Saanich Police are looking for witnesses after a suspect robbed a bank Wednesday evening. 

At approximately 5 p.m. on February 9th, officers responded to a bank robbery in progress in the 3600-block of Shelbourne Street. 

According to reports, the suspect entered the Scotiabank and presented a note demanding money. 

At 5:02 p.m., the suspect left the bank through the front doors and was last seen walking westbound down Pear Street. 

He was not located. 

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 30 years old and 5’5” tall with a medium build. 

At the time of the incident, he was wearing all black clothing and a black mask. 

It is unclear if the suspect got away with any money.

Saanich Police are asking for anyone that witnessed the incident or may have captured the suspect on their vehicles’ dash-camera to call (250) 475-4321.
