Victorians love to stay healthy! That’s why each year, the Victoria Health Show attracts thousands of locals in search of the latest and greatest products in wellness.
The event is happening this weekend at Pearkes Recreation Centre, and whether you’re looking to learn about new products or have specific questions about personal health, this is the one-stop-shop for all your wellness needs.
During the two day expo you’ll have the chance to listen to 24 different speakers who cover a range of medical topics, visit over 100 exhibitors offering everything from nutritional supplements to therapies, fitness trends to food products, and get hands-on with 9 interactive health workshops that centre around remedies which can be made at home.

Workshops happening on Saturday:
Golden Milk
On Saturday, the first workshop will delve into how to make your own Chai Herbal Tea that’s loaded with antioxidants to help reduce inflammation, joint pain, boost immunity, and stave off illness.
When: 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Energy Balls
Just in time for lunch, you can learn how to make tasty guilt-free Energy Balls. The nutritious snacks are packed with superfoods, protein, healthy fats, and fibre. For those who are allergic to nuts, examples of nut free Energy Balls will be also made!
When: 12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Saffron Facial Mask
Food’s not the only topic that the workshops will cover. Using the health benefits of rose and saffron, this easy-to-make face mask will help reduce wrinkles naturally, and the workshop will cover dietary recommendations to improve complexion and slow signs of aging.
When: 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
DIY Granola
Learn how to make fibre and iron-filled granola that can be customized for your body specifically. Granola is also great to combine with other foods for proper digestion.
When: 2:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ayurveda Cooking
This workshop gives you an in-depth look at the many benefits of cooking with Indian Ayurveda spices and styles. You’ll learn how to make Chapatis, ghee, and how adding spices to every day meal planning can fit your unique palate and health needs.
When: 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Workshops happening on Sunday:
Tea Ceremony
Before the day’s workshop begins, start your Sunday morning off right with a centering tea ceremony.
The ceremony will follow Cha Dao, an ancient Chinese tradition that translates to “Way of Tea”. Although traditional tea ceremonies have roots in Daoist & Zen philosophy, this event is non-dogmatic and welcomes everyone.
When: 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Chia Pudding
This pudding makes a perfect, super nutritious breakfast for people on the go. You can learn how to make this packed dish with chia seeds, cashews, or almonds to help start your day off with healthy fats that will keep you full for hours.
When: 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
DIY Altars
Learn how to create and customize your own altar for your home or office. Not to be underestimated, altars have a wide range of mental and spiritual benefits, and these creations take inspiration from the ancient Indian science of Vastu.
When: 12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Organic Skin Care
After this workshop, you won’t need to spend an arm and a leg to buy yourself organic skin care. Learn how to make your own facial beauty products with organic ingredients that you’ve probably already got in your kitchen!
When: 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Ayurveda Cooking
To round out the weekend’s workshops, you’ll have a second chance at learning to cook with Ayurveda spices.
