A 21-year-old Saanich man has been arrested for the armed robbery of a Subway restaurant in the 4100 block of Wilkinson Road on Sunday.
He entered the store, walked up to an employee and produced a handgun. He then demanded money and, after receiving an undisclosed amount, fled the store.
Saanich Police and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Jasmine Ave on Friday where he was arrested.
The man in known to police. They will be recommending a charge of robbery with a firearm and looking into other potential charges.
