A VicPD K9 unit, Zender, is being credited with helping track down and arrest a man involved in a case of assault on Wednesday night.
Just after 10:00 p.m., VicPD was called to the 1000-block of Haultain Streets for reports of an assault at a residence.
When police arrived, they found that the suspect had fled the scene, prompting officers to spread out in the area and call in Zender for support.
Once the K9 arrived, a brief search lead to the discovery of the suspect, who was then taken into custody without further incident.
Good boy, Zender.
