It goes without saying, everyone could use a little bit of extra heart these days.
But local retailer Hillside Centre is taking it a step further, showing their support for the community in a very special way – and helping those who need it most at the same time!
With Hillside Centre’s ‘Show Us Your Heart’ campaign, they urge you to do just that – for every ‘heart in the window’ or your own ‘decorated heart’ photo uploaded to their website through the month of May, the shopping centre will donate $5 to the Mustard Seed Food Bank.
The people of Victoria have shown an overwhelming appreciation for local healthcare and frontline workers battling COVID-19 thus far, with many displaying hearts in their windows, front yards, and even vehicle windows.
Local businesses across the city have also shown their hearts by lighting up their buildings in the shape of a heart, or hanging lit hearts in their windows.
Looking to show off your heart? Heart photos can be submitted to their online gallery at hillsidecentre.com/hillsideheartproject/.
Each photo means a $5 donation to the Mustard Seed Food Bank, and donations to the food bank will be made up to an amount of $2,500 – that being said, the sky is the limit, as the shopping centre hopes to receive hundreds of submissions.
