VicPD release images of suspect in Special Olympic athlete’s scooter theft

VicPD have released images of a suspect in the theft of a scooter that belongs to a BC Special Olympics athlete.

The scooter was stolen at approximately 4 p.m. from Hillside Mall.

The suspect in the images is described as a 30 to 40-year-old white man standing approximately six feet tall, with a slim to medium build.

He was wearing a blue tracksuit, and a Nike baseball hat. The suspect was also pushing a shopping cart, which he used to transport the scooter away from the area.

The 54-year-old owner of the scooter depends on it for transportation.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or with information about the theft is asked to contact VicPD at (250) 995-7654, ext. 1.
