A man was arrested by the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT) after he threatened to shoot someone in downtown Victoria on Friday.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9th, someone reported that a person had made threats to shoot someone in the Pandora Avenue area.
In a rapid response, officers from the patrol, Strike Force, and GVERT units were dispatched to the location to handle the situation.
The incident took place in the 1100-block of Pandora Avenue, and multiple police units quickly responded to the scene.
The suspect, who fled in a vehicle, was located near Tyee Road and Wilson Street.
Without incident, GVERT successfully arrested the individual. Following the arrest, the suspect was taken to the VicPD cells, where he will remain until his court date.
He is currently being held in custody until his court appearance.
