There’s a new route for this weekend’s Victoria Pride Parade

Share

Dance, strut, cheer — the Pride Parade is almost here!

The island’s biggest Pride Parade is back this Sunday, July 9th and promises to be bigger than ever — featuring over 100 entries, thousands of marchers, and an expected 40,000 plus spectators!

The Victoria Pride Society has shared their new route, and as one of Victoria’s most vibrant community events, it’s important you’re up to date and ready to go!

Here are the details:

This year, the parade will begin at 11 a.m. near the intersection of Douglas Street and Pandora Avenue — heading south on Douglas Street.

Then, the parade will take a right at Humboldt Street, left on Government Street, right on Belleville Street and left on Menzies.

Menzies and Kingston Streets will be the last stop!

Grab your glitter, flags, suspenders, and whatever else you need to feel fantastic and we’ll see you there!

Once the parade has ended, make sure to follow the crowd as they make their way to MacDonald Park for the renowned and ever-growing Pride Festival in the Park.
