There’s an electronic music festival happening in Victoria this August long weekend

Grab your sunglasses and picnic baskets, Victoria!

Iconic park venues across Victoria will soon be host to the Wonderment Festival for August long weekend!

This festival takes a unique and affordable approach to programming by placing an emphasis solely on the music — which means there won’t be any food trucks or concessions at any of the locations.

Instead, people are encouraged to pack-in-pack-out and get creative with their picnic endeavors or take advantage of nearby local businesses!

As described in their release, this enables them to focus on affordability by offering free day-time shows and well-priced ticketed evening shows or a limited weekend pass for the first lucky purchasers.

Headliners of the free park programming include Lisa Bella Donna, Khotin, Matthew Cardinal, Monster Planet, Desert Bloom and many more!

There are a total of 17 performances — which amounts to over 15 hours of free park programming!

Day-time locations will include Fisherman’s Wharf Park, Songhees Park Plaza, Cameron Bandshell at Beacon Hill Park, and Banfield Park (Vic West).

The atmosphere for the day-time programming will be more of an immersive and ambient experience as opposed to electro-dance music — if you hope to dance, check out the night-time programming!

The ticketed night-time programming is only for adults +19 and will present live and DJ’d dance music at the Victoria Event Centre and Captial Ballroom for everyone hoping to keep the party going!

You’ll get to see artists such as DJ K1 (a.k.a. Keith Tucker), Pablo Splice, OKPK, Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness, and more.
