Share

For the late-night partiers or the casual midnight walkers, this is for you!

Picture it — you’ve finished an evening dancing with your buddies or you’ve stumbled out of a late-night movie only to realize you’re starving.

What now? Most restaurants in Victoria close around 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.

Well, we’re here to let you know that there are actually quite a few places around Victoria that have your back!

The further down the list, the later the restaurant is open.

Now that you know we’ve saved your lives, here’s 8 places in and around Victoria to satisfy your after-hour stomach rumblies:

Sonora Bar & Grill

This mouth-watering Mexican fusion joint is just on the cusp of late-night but we wanted to include it!

Kitchen closes around 11:30 p.m. to the midnight range — depending on how busy it is, so make sure you get in before then!

Once you’re inside and have ordered, you have until 1 a.m. before the doors shut for the night. Plenty of time to relax and finish up your meal.

Particular items to note are the Mozza Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers, and Nachos (because who doesn’t love a good cheesy appetizer as a midnight snack?).

  • Where: 531 Yates Street
  • When: Hours vary — open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday (kitchen closes at around 11:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.)

Leopold’s Tavern

This lively bar is the place to be on a weekend — from their stellar playlist, fantastic vibe, and odd menu items (you can order a whole bucket of bacon), it makes sense that it’s so popular.

From young students to those debating whether their mortgage is worth it, Leopold’s is an excellent meeting place.

They’re open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday — kitchen’s last call around 12:45 a.m.

  • Where: 570 Yates Street
  • When: Open 7 days a week
    • Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Earls

This is another hot spot because of their unbeatable happy hour from 9 p.m. until close at 1 p.m.

Even better, their kitchen is open until the very end — with last call usually happening around 12:45 p.m.!

Try their Truffle Fries for $10 or the Margherita Pizza for $16!

Go all the way and get yourself a discounted boozy drink like Sangria, a Grapefruit Hibiscus Paloma cocktail, or a Moscow Mule between $6 and $12!

  • Where: 1199 Government Street 100 – Bay Center
  • When: Open 7 days a week — hours vary

Fiamo

Fiamo is prepared for the late-night game!

In fact, they have a whole menu dedicated to their visitors after 10 p.m. and that carries everyone through until they close at 1 a.m. (with last call being around 12:45 a.m.)

This new menu doesn’t sacrifice good taste for convenience, however, as you can still choose from a fantastic list of artisan pizzas, delicious snackables, desserts, and even specialty coffee (if caffeine doesn’t keep you up ALL night)!

  • Where: 515 Yates Street
  • When: Open 7 days a week from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Saint Franks

Described as the house of hot dogs, they’re back with their brand new Yates Street location after saying goodbye to their Broad Street spot!

New building but same quality and fun with their quirky sense of humour, arcade tables, and late-night menu with their famous hot dogs up for grabs.

  • Where: 727 Yates Street
  • When: Hours vary — open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday

The Mint

Open until 2 a.m. every night, it’s no wonder that this place is a go-to for club-goers and after-hours snackers!

The entrance is slightly hidden and adds an element of mysteryas the doors are down a set of stairs (don’t panic, there is a sign by the stairs…you will get your snack).

As you make your way down the steps, you’ll feel an atmospheric shift in escaping the streets of Victoria for the cozy underground of The Mint in downtown Victoria.

Here, you can satisfy your french fry or deep-fried pickle cravings and treat yourself to a refreshment or two.

If you fall in love with the space, there are special events happening there all the time, from comedy nights to folk music performances!

  • Where: 1414 Douglas Street
  • When: Open 7 days a week from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Fork’n Pork

You know what you want at 2 a.m.? Mac and cheese, lots and lots of mac and cheese.

Not just any mac and cheese, we’re talking deep-dish, pulled pork, fancy blue cheese, or chicken selections of this gooey masterpiece.

Lactose intolerant? They have a plant-based Coconut Curry on Rice dish just for you!

  • Where: 1221 Wharf Street
  • When: Open 7 days a week — hours vary but they’re open until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday

Second Slice Pizza

This one is 100% for the wee hour wanderers — with a closing time for 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, you’re bound to get your late-night fix.

And who doesn’t crave pizza at 3:30 a.m., right?

Enjoy a greasy slice or two while you and your buddies wander the empty streets of Victoria — because it really will just be you, everyone else went to bed.
