This summer, sweet Sidney by the Sea is making it even easier to shop local—in more ways than one!
Not only does the famed Sidney Sidewalk Sale return next weekend, but Sidney has just launched their very own gift card program—offering the ease and flexibility to shop where you want, along with a great way to support local businesses.
In celebration of both, we’ve partnered with Sidney BIA to give away a $500 Sidney by the Sea gift card to one lucky winner—you’ll find those details below!
The Sidney Sidewalk Sale will take place on Saturday, August 12th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—one of the region’s biggest seasonal summer shopping events!
This year’s celebration will feature over 50 businesses stepping out of their storefronts and offering massive discounts on summer merchandise.
You’ll also be able to enjoy a soundtrack while you stroll, with a live stage featuring performances at the corner of Fourth Street.
Grab lunch at your favourite Sidney restaurant, visit the on-site live photo booth, treat the kids to face painting at Buddies Toys, and top it all off with lawn games in Beacon Park—make a day of this annual event!
The all-new Sidney by the Sea Gift Cards have been created to enhance local shopping, drive tourism and support economic impact.
The Sidney Business Improvement Area Society (Sidney BIA) is leading the new Gift Card initiative as a means to showcase the unique businesses in the town’s vibrant downtown core and keep more dollars local.
Gift cards are available for purchase online as well as at the Sidney Visitor Centre, and you can check out a list of participating retailers here.
