No Worries If Not

This sold-out 2023 Fringe comedy show is returning to the Metro Studio for an exclusive one-night show as a part of the Intrepid Presents series!

As described, Katie-Ellen Humphries brings their signature sharp wit, playful imagination and refreshing sincerity to this new joke-filled solo show about laundry, love and lying.

She has been praised by big names like Brent Butt from Corner Gas!

Indoor Esquimalt Farmers Market

The seasons have changed but the market is here to stay!

Esquimalt Recreation Centre will be hosting them for the rest of the year, so you can shop your favourite vendors until December 14th.

Bring your appetite and your buddies and snag yourself some goodies!

This event is free to attend, just come prepared to be tempted by the many wonderous creations from local artisans and producers!

Daryl Chonka and His Band

Hailing all the way from Salt Spring Island, Daryl Chonka and his band are here to present their beautiful collection of heartfelt folk music.

They’ve spent decades producing, working, and playing alongside some of Canada’s greatest musical legends—including Neil Young, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Randy Bachman, and The Sadies.

Chonka has also produced and played with plenty of Africa’s finest musicians such as Masauko, Mongezi Ntaka, and Arouna Diarra.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or in-person. For students with a valid ID, you can receive a $5 discount on tickets at the door.

Red Wriggler Revue Movie Night

Everyone loves a movie night!

The Compost Education Centre will be hosting their first ever Red Wriggler Revue Movie Night and everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the 1998 Pixar classic, A Bug’s Life.

Admission is by donation and they will have popcorn for sale. Wear something cozy and bring other snacks if you wish!

Rally for Old Growth

Everyone is encouraged to join the Wilderness Committee as they gather at the constituency office of Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Murray Rankin.

It’s too address the unmet promises the BC NDP government made in 2020 regarding the Old Growth Strategic Review (OGSR).

As described, the rally will feature exciting speakers, chants and beautiful movement art—so, get creative and bring your best sign, banner or old-growth art!

This event is part of a larger province-wide Day of Action for old-growth forests.
