33-year-old arrested after multiple cases of exposing himself in Langford area

West Shore RCMP arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with multiple indecent exposure incidents in Langford.

The individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, was apprehended on Wednesday, November 8th.

He was arrested for 15 counts of commission of an indecent act and one count of indecent exposure, as detailed in an RCMP press release issued on Tuesday.

The investigation, spanning a month, commenced in June following sporadic reports received by the RCMP concerning an unidentified man exposing himself to individuals along the Galloping Goose Trail in Langford.

“Due to the size and complexity of the Galloping Goose trail system and the sporadic times and locations of the offences, the investigators faced a number of challenges in identifying the suspect,” said RCMP.

Over the course of several months officers from the various units used a variety of investigative techniques including covert surveillance and plainclothes operations.

“Though the suspect exposed himself to his victims, none were physically assaulted.”

The suspect, who has no criminal record, was released on an undertaking to appear in court on February 8th, 2024.
