From the iconic Folk Night series at The Mint to a live performance about Peter Pan’s legend, we’ll make sure your day is a good one.

If you’re looking for something holiday related, the Yuletide Christmas Market will welcome you to check out their lineup of vendors and the Tulipe Noire Clothing is still taking donations for their toy drive!

Folk Night at The Mint

Cozy, warm, intimate—all words to describe this incredibly curated atmosphere designed to highlight the artists’ songwriting and sound.

This week, they’re inviting you to check out Sail Cassady, Joe Abbott, and Jordy Jay.

Drinks and food will be available for purchase throughout the show too if you’re in need of a refreshment or snack!

Tickets are just under $12 if you purchase them online.

Yuletide Christmas Market Series

This is a market you won’t want to miss!

With over 90 local businesses over 7 different market days, you’re bound to find something you like at the Yuletide Market Series—whether it’s a gift or a treat for yourself!

The first market opened on Friday, November 10th and will run on select days until Thursday, December 21st. For the full schedule, check out their page.

Each will bring a new rotation of vendors, so it’s fresh and unique every time you visit—this Thursday’s will feature creators such as A Nutter Farm, Artisanal Treats, Bits of Bliss Confectionary, Crowfoot Collective, Dinty Designs, and dot.Naturals.

Entry is $5 per person.

Peter and the Starcatcher

Don’t miss the opening night!

Live performance, Peter and the Starcatcher, the award winning Peter Pan precursor will be running from Thursday, December 14th to Sunday, December 17th at the Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA).

This re-imagining of the century-old classic takes us on a journey of adventure, swashbuckling heroes, roguish pirates, and accidental friends.

General adult tickets for the show are $30 and can be purchased here. It’s suitable for ages ten and up

Toy Drive for Victoria Native Friendship Centre

Tulipe Noire Clothing has organized their yearly Christmas toy drive for the Victoria Native Friendship Centre and there’s still time to donate!

They are gratefully accepting new unwrapped toys, games, and art supplies for toddlers and school age kids.

Your donations can be dropped off at either of their locations on Oak Bay Avenue—the deadline is Friday, December 15th.

Catch a Movie at The Vic Theatre

Looking for something chill but slightly thrilling to do this Thursday?

The Vic Theatre is showing the thriller, Eileen at 7:30 p.m.—a story that follows Eileen, a secretary working at a youth prison as she meets Dr. Rebecca played by Anne Hathaway, and her world take a sinister turn.

It’s been described to be a “supremely stylish psychological thriller” and promises to leave a lasting impression.

Tickets for this 19+ screening are just over $13 and can be purchased on their website.
