We hope you’re excited, Victoria, because this Thursday is a packed one!

With so many incredible events to pick from, it’ll be difficult to choose—so, read on and find the one that speaks to you and your energy levels.

Chill and socialize with friends at Phillips Brewing for their Space Case reveal, sink into the hypnotic notes of the harp in a Victorian drawing room, dance the night away at the Victoria Event Centre, and much more!

Here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Thursday, December 6th:

Space Case: Tasting Room Takeover

Head downtown to Phillips Brewing & Malting Beer Shop for their out-of-this-world tasting event!

They’ll be tapping the kegs on some of their limited release Space Case beers for everyone to try as well as bringing in DJ Jesus Cuervo from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This event is free but the room fills up quickly, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare!

  • When: Thursday, December 7th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. (DJ starts at 6 p.m.)

Game:Play at the Belfry Theatre

Sit back and soak in a brand new indie-produced shadow puppet and improv show presented by the Secret Shark Collective.

The show is part of the emerging artist Incubator Program and follows four characters as they navigate different stages of their lives.

Bask in the characters development and enjoy a play about wonder, connection, and most of all, games!

Music in a Victorian Drawing Room

Ross Bay Villa invites you to join them this Thursday at 7:30pm, where renowned musician Gwyneth Evans will transport you to a December evening in the distant past.

Relax and allow her to enchant you with her exceptional harp playing talent—a talent she has been honing since the 1980s.

Tickets are $25 per person and it will include the performance as well as tea and seed cake. All of the proceeds go towards running Ross Bay Villa, which is a historic site.

Poetry Night at Caffe Fantastico

Every second, third, and fourth Thursday of the month, Caffe Fantastico hosts a poetry night!

Visitors will get the chance to listen to work from featured poets as well as stick around for the open mic portion of the evening.

So, if you’ve got your own words to share with the world, test them out in a welcoming and encouraging environment!

Entry is a sliding scale between $5 to $15.

Colombian Candles’ Night Party

Described as the most “sizzling event this Christmas”, join the Victoria Event Centre as they present a great selection of Colombian and Latin Music by Top DJ Alex King!

The night will begin with a Salsa lesson at 8 p.m. followed by the night party at 10 p.m.

Don’t miss out on the ultimate opportunity to dance, socialize, and party!

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
