VicPD seek hit-and-run suspect who sent cyclist to hospital in mid-November (UPDATED)

VicPD announced on Friday, December 22nd that the driver of the Mini Cooper has come forward and turned themselves in.

ORIGINAL:

VicPD are looking to identify the driver of a vehicle which hit a cyclist in mid-November and drove away from the scene of the collision. 

At around 9:20 a.m. on November 16th, the cyclist was struck at the intersection of Douglas Street and Alpha Street near the northwest corner of Mayfair Shopping Centre. 

Police say the vehicle was a Mini Cooper and was last seen travelling westbound down Alpha Street. 

To help them in their search for the suspect who was driving the vehicle, VicPD have now shared an image captured from CCTV footage while the car drove away from the scene. 

According to police, the cyclist was thrown from their bicycle during the collision and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
