‘Tis the season for craft fairs and artisan goods, and we’re here to tell you about one of the largest in town!
For the 30th year in a row, Out of Hand Modern Market will be setting up shop at the Victoria Conference Centre next weekend.
To celebrate the milestone, out of hand is bigger than ever with 125 artists and makers participating. The organizers have also renamed the event from the original “Out of Hand Artisan Fair,” added “Modern Market” and updated the branding to better reflect the atmosphere.
If you want to experience a real deal, the first 30 people through the door each day will get in for free!
For three days, a wide variety of beautiful goods handmade by artists and makers will be on display including stunning pottery, jewellery, artisan food, wines and spirits, wood and metal art, fashion, and sculptures.
Over 125 artisans and makers from across Western Canada will be on hand to transform the Conference Centre into a veritable shopping wonderland.
The fair not only showcases the works of well-established artisans but will also feature products made by new, up-and-coming designers.
For all you early birds, this is the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping as, in addition to goods on display, vendors offer custom orders just in time for the holidays.
And like last year, this year’s event will feature a pop-up Etsy boutique, so you can actually meet the creators from your favourite online store, while you munch on some delicious food from the artisan food market.
There will be live entertainment, a bistro, coffee bar, selfie station and amazing door prizes to make you never want to leave this holiday wonderland.
And to sweeten the pot even more, we’re giving away a pair of weekend passes and $75 gift card to the market to one lucky winner!
