The Nook Coffee & Tea at the corner of Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue has recently reopened after over a year of renovations.

On May 14th at around 1 a.m., an impaired driver who was fleeing from police crashed their vehicle into the café, causing significant damage to the Quadra St side of the building.

Now, after over a year of renovation and reconstruction, the shop is back in business and ready for customers!

“There were a few hiccups and roadblocks that came through with the development, but we’re happy to be past that,” manager Tree Lowrie tells Victoria Buzz. “We’re super excited to be back in the neighbourhood, and seeing everyone’s familiar faces!”

The Nook reopened their doors on September 17th and besides carrying their tried and true favourite food and beverages, management hopes to expand their menu and bring in new treats as well.

For now, this café is open only on weekdays, from 7 a.m. til 5 p.m.
