Police and firefighters in Langford had a unique experience this weekend.
At around 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 25th, West Shore RCMP officers and Langford firefighters assisted BC Conservation Officers in rescuing a black bear from a tree behind Langford City Hall on Goldstream Ave.

Once on site, firefighters used a ladder truck to bring the tranquilized animal down from the tree.
The bear was then assessed by conservation officers and, once they had determined that it was in good health, it was relocated on Sunday morning.
The whole incident resulted in a number of incredible photos and videos shot by the Langford Fire Department.
