A wildfire at Olympic National Park that broke out Wednesday afternoon has now grown larger to the point where its smoke and smell can be detected across the strait in Victoria.
According to an advisory from the national park, the wildfire has grown to 20 acres and resulted in the closure of East Beach Road at Lake Crescent.
The alert states that fire crews are on scene and smoke levels will vary depending on weather and how the fire progresses.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
