Oceans Week Victoria is back with a splash and celebrating 10 days of events, bringing the community together to explore and interact with our ocean.
From Friday June 3rd to 12th, Oceans Week Victoria will be “fostering community connection and engagement” through volunteer run, ocean-inspired events.
Oceans Week focuses on facilitating and promoting inclusive and accessible events, no matter how large or small, with a focus on education, conservation and fun in an effort to inspire all to take action.
The ten day, all-ages celebration will encompass art, music, water sports, science, technology, contests, and conservation through a mixture of in-person and virtual events across Greater Victoria.
A few notable, in-person events include a Campfire Oceans Trivia event presented by Parks Canada, Build a Kelp Forest presented by the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, a sea glass jewelry workshop and a World Oceans Day Festival at Fisherman’s Wharf!
There’s something for everyone!
