VicPD look to identify ‘prowler’ suspect spotted near Fernwood (VIDEO)

Share

VicPD have released video footage of a man they’re describing as a “prowler” in hopes the public can help identify him.

At 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14th, officers were informed that a man was prowling in front of a residence in the 2000-block of Chambers Street.

One of the residents in the area told officers that the suspect threatened them when he was spotted on private property. The resident was able to capture the suspect on video which VicPD released to the media.

Officers attended minutes later but were unable to locate the suspect.

Not long after, at 5:30 a.m. police were called to a multi-suite residence in the 1000-block of Princess Avenue — close to the first reported location.

The caller reported seeing a man enter through a window into one of the suites and the description closely resembled the man from the earlier incident.

Officers again arrived within minutes, but the suspect was not found.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 35 years-old, standing at 5’10” with a slim build and short hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, black gloves and had a black, collapsible canvas wagon with him.

If you recognize this suspect, have information about them or the incidents, or have video footage, VicPD asks that you call them at (250) 995-7654.
