As the province-wide Amber Alert for two children enters the sixth day since it was issued in BC on Wednesday, July 19th, police now say the abduction was preplanned.

As the “parental abduction” of 8-year-old Aurora Bolton and 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton enters its second week, new details are being released by the RCMP.

Recent developments in the investigation have revealed that Verity Bolton, along with her 74-year-old father, Robert Bolton, and her 53-year-old boyfriend, Abraxas Glazov, are all believed to be involved in the disappearance of the children, and have moved “off the grid”.

Police say investigators have gathered credible information indicating that the abduction was pre-planned, and the group is suspected to be living inside trailers in a rural area of the province.

Confirmed sightings of the group have been reported in Kelowna, Merritt, and Kamloops, with the most recent sighting of Verity Bolton taking place at a grocery store in Kamloops on July 15th.

Since the initial alert, Surrey RCMP have received an overwhelming response from the public, with over 180 tips pouring in. However, despite these efforts, there have been no confirmed sightings of Aurora or Joshuah since July 7th, when they were seen at a gas station in Merritt.

This lack of information has raised concerns for the safety and well-being of the missing children.

As the search intensifies, investigators are now releasing new details  Glazov and Robert, in hopes of advancing the investigation.

Glazov, a resident of Nelson, is described as an outdoorsman with connections to the Deadman Valley and Vidette Lake area. He enjoys fishing and has a history of living “off the grid” for extended periods.

Robert, a resident from the Chilliwack area, is Verity’s father. He was last seen on June 30th, after Verity had met with him at his residence. Robert has health concerns, and there are indications that he may be confused and/or disoriented. The circumstances surrounding his involvement in the case are still under investigation.

Media Relations Officer, Sergeant Tammy Lobb, stressed the significance of public assistance in locating the missing children and suspects. She urged the public to remain vigilant and report any relevant information or sightings to the authorities.

Police released a photo of Glazov with hopes that its circulation will aid in locating the suspects and children.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Aurora Bolton, Joshuah Bolton, Verity Bolton, Robert Bolton, or Abraxas Glazov is urged to call 911 and mention the Amber Alert.

They are travelling in a Blue 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab pick-up truck with a BC license plate number of SJ2708.

A dedicated tip line has also been set up for any additional information related to the Amber ALERT: 604-599-7676 or email surreyamberalert@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
