Not getting enough of the theatre?—don’t miss this one!

Attitude Theatre in Victoria welcomes you to a masterful production based on famous author Cormac McCarthy’s work, The Sunset Limited, at the Paul Phillips Hall in Fernwood.

The Sunset Limited will span over two weekends, starting November 3rd to 4th and picking back up again from November 10th to 12th.

Viewers and critics alike have deemed it provocative, insightful, and seductively written!

As described, the story follows an encounter between two souls torn between faith and atheism. This encounter is between two men, Black, an ex-convict who has found God, and White, a jaded professor, and nonbeliever steeped in nihilistic ideology.

They both engage in a painful contest of faith in the divine and the futility of life in all within the emotionally charged confines of Black’s run-down apartment.

McCarthy describes The Sunset Limited as “a novel in dramatic form”—tackling religion, violence, and the purpose of life within an exciting and immersive experience.

The play premiered in 2006 at The Steppenwolf Theatre Chicago and was then transferred to New York later that year.

After a great deal of success, the play was adapted to film in 2016, starring Samuel Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones!

Attitude Theatre’s production of The Sunset Limited is directed by Kevin Stinson, produced by Tony Cain and Rasanga Weerasinghe of Attitude Theatre, Victoria, and features Willis Taylor and Eric Grace.

Tickets are $20 and are available for purchase via their website.
