20th Annual Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas
Love the beauty of a good Christmas melody?
The Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM), is bringing a special holiday celebration to Victoria’s Royal Theatre!
On Wednesday, December 20th, the VCM is celebrating its 20th annual Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas show, and you’re invited.
Lapp is a renowned music artist, teacher and local impresario and brings the holiday spirit to life with the help of his legendary ensembles such as the B.C. Fiddle Orchestra, Folkestra!, and the Joy of Life Choir.
Tickets start at $23.50 and are $18.50 for youth and students—you can purchase tickets for the December 20th show or the December 21st show here.

Elf Movie Trivia
Have you ever wanted to put your Elf knowledge to the test?
Now’s your chance! Phoenix Bar and Grill are hosting an Elf trivia night with Sixty Watt Trivia, so you can show off how much you know about this iconic Will Ferrell movie.
Head down a bit early because space could fill up fast!

Louise Rose at Hermann’s Jazz Club
You don’t want to miss pianist/vocalist Louise Rose as she takes the stage!
She is known as a Canadian treasure and jazz icon with her powerful lyrics and enthralling stage presence.
Rose has worked with a number of famous musicians, including Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington, Carmen McRae, Ella Fitzgerald, and B.B. King!
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or in person.

Comedy Night at The Mint
Dim the lights and set the stage—Morgan Cranny and Drew Farrance have picked another great lineup for this Wednesday’s comedy night!

Share a Holiday Kiss Under the Mistletoe
Anyone fancy a holiday kiss?
The Fairmont Empress is inviting everyone to participate in a fun little holiday competition to spread holiday cheer and celebrate love.
All you have to do is stand with your chosen one under their newest installation, ‘Meet Me Under the Mistletoe’, take a photo of your kiss, and post it on Instagram and/or Facebook—don’t forget to tag the accounts and use the hashtag #MistletoeMoments.
The competition runs throughout the month of December, so you have plenty of time to savour the beauty of holiday romance and share it with the world!
