Investigators stumped by sudden spree of car vandalism in Fernwood: VicPD

VicPD are asking for the public’s help after several vehicles were damaged in the Fernwood area earlier this morning. 

At around 6 a.m. on Thursday,  February 1st, police received several reports that vehicles along Gladstone Avenue, Stanley Avenue, Chestnut Street, Amphion Street, and Florence Street had been vandalized.

Police believe that there were dozens of vehicles affected, and the damage ranged from scratch marks to smashed windows and lights. 

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his mid-twenties, standing 6’ tall with a slim build, brown curly hair, wearing a grey jacket and riding a skateboard. 

Officers attended the scene, and although they have been unable to locate the suspect, they will continue to search the area.

Investigators are asking any witnesses of the vandalism or anyone with CCTV or doorbell camera footage that may have captured the incidents to come forward.
