Nanaimo RCMP has announced that the search for missing 48-year-old woman Nancy Gagne has been suspended.

Gagne was last seen at around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1st wearing multi-coloured pajamas.

A search party scoured the area around Millstone River and Bowen Park after several items of Gagne’s were located in the vicinity of Millstone River.

Involved in the search were volunteers from NSAR, RCMP officers, and West Coast Marine Services, who spent a total of three days searching the park and river without success.

According to police, the water levels and flow of the river are preventing the RCMP Dive Team from searching at this time.

Gagne is described as a Caucasian woman, standing at 5’7” tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police confirm that the photo provided is recent.

The investigation will remain active and if anyone has information on the whereabouts of Nancy Gagne, call Nanaimo RCMP at (250) 754-2345.
