Another day, another dollar — and now it’s time to rest and unwind (or party it up)!

As we approach mid-July, there’s still plenty of summer events in the works and this weekend is no exception.

Get yourself a bucket of crabs, attend a few live music shows, check out a beer festival, or unwind at an art gallery — you do do!

Here’s 13 events happening in and around Victoria this weekend, July 15th and 16th:

Crabben in the Park

Live music, family fun, and a whole lot of crab!

This event in is a celebration of locally harvested Dungeness crab and is set to be an unforgettable experience that you won’t want to miss.

Indulge in buckets of steaming hot crab, perfectly complemented by the beautiful surroundings of Vic West’s Banfield Park!

Reserve your bucket of crabs online for $75 each.

Enjoy the limitless creativity at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria as they showcase this show, featuring a record number of 160 participating artists!

There will be live entertainment, hands-on activities, as well as food and beverages available for purchase!

The event is free to attend, though the Art Gallery encourages admission by donation.

Bring your beautiful and curious self, and enjoy the wonderous nature of art!

Langford Beer Festival

Celebrate all things beer at this unique beer event in Langford!

It showcases craft beer from all over Greater Victoria and gives you the perfect opportunity to try as many as possible.

“We believe the consumer wants not only choice but also the opportunity to learn about what they consume.”

Tickets are still being sold here — general admission is priced at $45 and the premium ticket is $75.

Island Mavins Vintage Market

Find all of your dream vintage items this weekend the the Island Mavins Vintage Market!

Shop until you drop while you explore the 40+ local vendors, jam to live music, and dig into some delicious food.
There’s lots of free parking too!

Intamo’s Pride Party

It’s time to put your best Pride outfit back on — yes, there will be prizes for best dressed!

Intamo Pleasurables, a local queer-owned and operated pleasure shop, is hosting their third Pride Party in collaboration with Burb this Saturday, July 15th.

It’s free to attend and they’re expecting it to be the biggest and best yet!

Join them in their Lube Olympics, major raffle prize draws, a free BBQ, DJ sets from local artists Njoki Njoki and Triikstr, and more.

Dinner and a Show at Jempoy’s Lechon

Head over to Jempoy’s Lechon for their 1st anniversary celebration and enjoy an afternoon of live music and purchasable delicious Filipino delicacies!

They’ll be hosting the band, Alphabet Soup — ready to bring you a fresh twist to Filipino and English classics with a fusion of pop and rock.

Don’t forget to enter into the raffle for the chance to win a half-lechon belly or halo halo!

Live Music at the Malahat SkyWalk

Every Saturday throughout the summer will feature a live band, rocking it in the great outdoors next to the scenic SkyWalk tower and food trucks.

This weekend brings Woodstick to the stage — a Celtic/Folk dynamic music duo with Dazy Daye on vocals and guitar, and Jeanette McGonigle on violin and vocals.

Live music is included in your general admission ticket!

Addtionally, the SkyWalk is offering a 25% discount on evening tickets (after 5 p.m.) from Monday to Friday until the end of the summer!

Uptown Multicultural Festival

After a successful festival last year, Uptown is excited to announce the return of the Multicultural Festival and expects it to draw thousands of community members!

There will be multiple incredible performances throughout the weekend as well as a wide variety of food trucks and vendors.

Fly Fishing Maritime Masterclass

If you’ve ever wanted to give fly fishing a go, now’s your chance!

Andrew Barany will be providing a Masterclass regarding the art of fly fishing — including the right selection of tools, tying a salmon fly, and the lifecycle of salmon.

This class is geared towards beginners and those hoping to brush up on technique.

Dance Party at the Victoria Event Centre

Calling all dancers!

The Garden City Soul Club has an evening for you and they’re promising the best of soul and funk music from the mid 1960’s to the early 1980’s.

They encourage smart dress and your best boogie shoes!

Admission is $15 at the door and their coat check service will be available.

Another brilliant ThinkTank-hosted trivia coming to Swans Pub this Sunday a part of their summer trivia series.
