Lake Cowichan ‘tube monster’ takes social media by storm (VIDEO)

Just when you thought you saw it all!

An employee at Lake Cowichan’s Tube Shack went viral this week in a video where they wore several tubes as an outfit to an end of summer staff party.

The event is called ‘Tube-lypics’ and employees are encouraged to get creative with the tubes they rent to people all summer long for floating down the Cowichan River.

In the viral video, the employee carried five tubes on each arm, stood up and managed to get one tube around his midsection, then he stepped into two tubes around each leg and trudged forward as the tube monster.

He had a total of 15 tubes, and it’s safe to say, he won the Tube-lympics with the impressive carry.

The video of this tube monster garnered over three million views on Tube Shack’s TikTok account in under 24 hours and has since gotten over 530,000 likes.

Comments on the video compare the appearance of the tube monster to a popular Pokemon character, Regigigas, a transformer and a mini-boss in a Dungeons and Dragons game.

Since its TikTok debut, the video has even been broadcasted on ESPN as well as several local, national and international news outlets.

So the important question now is, do you think the tube monster can float?
