Saanich Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on UVic property earlier this week.
On Wednesday, September 27th, a case of sexual assault was reported to UVic Campus Security, leading to an ongoing investigation by the Saanich Police Department.
The incident allegedly occurred on the morning of September 26th in the 1st-floor men’s washroom of UVic’s Cornett Building.
According to the report, a man was sexually assaulted by an unidentified male described as heavy-set and aged 60 or older. The assailant fled on foot following the assault.
UVic shared this information with the campus community out of an abundance of caution, as the perpetrator remains at large.
