

Commuters travelling southbound on the Pat Bay Highway (HWY 17) should expect significant delays Wednesday afternoon near Royal Oak.
The southbound lanes of the Pat Bay Highway (HWY 17) will be diverted onto the Royal Oak exit as Saanich Police attend a single-vehicle collision near the Quadra Street off-ramp.
Saanich councilor Colin Plant witnessed the rollover crash and described it as “very scary!”
Photos from the scene appear the truck may have crashed through the center meridian before coming to a halt on the Quadra overpass.

Southbound traffic will be significantly impacted until crews can remove the commercial vehicle, which has overturned.
Saanich Police are on scene and redirecting traffic. No estimated time of reopening has been provided.
