Attention holiday lights lovers!

Pull on a toque and slap on some mittens for this year’s 39th annual Christmas Lights Across Canada celebration.

It will take place at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in downtown Victoria on Thursday, December 7th at 6 p.m.—featuring a number of festivities both indoors and outdoors.

Included in the lineup will be the lighting of the sequoia tree on the front lawn, followed by a performance from the Victoria Children’s Choir.

After the light up, head inside for an indoor performance by Reynolds Secondary School Carol Band.

There will also be seasonal treats provided inside for celebration attendees!

Also present at the event will be Spencer Chandra Herbert, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and MLA for Vancouver-West End; and Grace Lore, Minister of State for Child Care, and MLA for Victoria-Beacon Hill.

Did you know that the Christmas Lights Across Canada was introduced in 1985?

All across Canada, monuments and sites in provincial and territorial capitals come together to partake in this holiday tradition to ring in the season.

See you there!
