We’re nearing St. Patrick’s Day, Victoria!

It’s time to celebrate the luck of the Irish with traditional music, Guinness or green beer, and include as many shamrock-related things in your outfit choices!

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are infectious, and whether you’re Irish or not, we’ve rounded up the best events and places to celebrate around Victoria this weekend.

Don’t forget to wear green and here’s 11 St. Patrick’s Day parties happening in and around Victoria between Friday, March 15th and Sunday, March 17th:

St. Patrick’s Day with Tapestry

The residents of Tapestry at Victoria Harbour invite everyone to come together for a wonderful evening of Irish magic in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!

Immerse yourself in the charm of an authentic Irish pub night with the talented dancers from The Victoria School of Irish Dance, good company and laughter.

St. Patrick’s Singles Party 

Tired of online dating?

Vancouver Island Brewing is calling on all the single folks of Victoria, ages 19 to 45, to head on over and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while meeting new people!

Whether you’re new to the city or simply looking to expand your social circle, this singles mixer will offer a unique opportunity to connect with other local singles in your age range within a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Tickets are just over $27 and include one beverage ticket!

St. Patrick’s Day at Wicket Hall

Not only is Wicket Hall giving you the perfect opportunity to party hard, one lucky raffle ticket holder will win $500 cash!

You get one raffle ticket just by coming and paying cover, you get a two more if you come before 10pm, and another if you wear green.

Cover is $8 at the door!

Lyric the Leprechaun with Ponies and Pipsqueaks

Join Ponies and Pipsqueaks and Lyric the Leprechaun as he travels through time to protect his gold!

Lyric will be searching for faeries amongst the crowd and you could be one of them! He’ll also be sharing stories of his life as a Leprechaun as well as secrets of the magical world.

Additionally, pony rides, barn tours, castle playtime and more will be offered.

There will be two separate showings—10 a.m. 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $37.50 per child and $10 for an adult.

The Seaside St. Patrick’s Day Party

The Mary Winspear Centre welcomes guests to enjoy an evening of fiddlers, dancers and singers to celebrate all things Irish!

Performers will include Franco-Ontarian fiddler Pierre Schryer, North American folk dance specialist Danielle Enblom and European influenced BC guitarist Adam Dobres.

As described, this group brings together three diverse music careers laden with nominations and diplomas including JUNO, Canadian Folk Music Awards, Western Canadian Music Awards, as well as a Diploma in Traditional Irish Music (UCC)!

St. Patrick’s Day at Bartholomew’s Public House

Bartholomew’s will be offering Irish food features, Irish whiskey and whiskey cocktails on special in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!

Plus, there will be some prizes up for grabs and a guaranteed lively atmosphere.

Cookeilidh at Six Mile Pub

Six Mile Pub will be offering some marvelous Irish specials from their menu as well as top-notch entertainment!

Hounds of Cuchulain at Victoria Event Centre

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day the authentic way—a rowdy bunch of pub songs and shanties, driving ballads, and ripping reels, interspersed with ancient airs on the Irish harp!

The night will feature star performers from the Victoria School of Irish Dance and Hounds of Cuchulain, a band made up of talented performers using traditional instruments to bring you the most authentic experience possible.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.

Live Performances at Irish Times Pub

Irish Times Pub will be providing an extensive lineup of performers all throughout the day on Sunday, March 17th!

The festivities will kick off with Calvin Cairns and Jeremy Walsh from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll be followed by Clanna Morna—a traditional Irish and Scottish ensemble at 4 p.m., and fan-favourite Black Angus at 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy a pint and immerse yourself in Celtic and folk rhythms.

Daniel Lapp’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Hermann’s Jazz Club invites audiences to join them for a very special show as they bring a number of different performances to the stage in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!

Featured acts will include Mairead O’Brien’s Irish Dancers, Jamie Troy, the BC Fiddle Orchestra, Andrew Redbeard Morris Mackay, Tasia Mackay, and many more.

There will be a matinee show and an evening show—tickets are $40 for general admission and $20 if you’re a student (just bring your student card).

Thrifty Foods St. Patrick’s Day Festival
