Located on Broad Street, since its circa opening in 2010, West Coast Waffles has served as a creative and unique gourmet waffle destination for almost every occasion, ranging from breakfast, lunch to evening snacks.
They earned wide acclaim for their vibrant flavours, quality food, their homemade cones for ice cream or frozen yogurt, and their slogan, “Make waffles, not war.”
Their waffle craze brought sweet and savoury flavours including combinations such as monterey cheddar and bacon baked in the batter in the Wake n’ Bacon, smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, capers in the Salmon King, and much more.
Some of their sweet options were the Caramel Apple with sliced green apple, caramel sauce, cinnamon and the Strawberry Basil with strawberries, basil, strawberry syrup.
There was no official announcement made on the closure. Victoria Buzz reached out to West Coast Waffle for comment but have not heard back in time for publication.
RIP West Coast Waffles, you will be missed.
