Merridale Cidery and Distillery is all set to host an exclusive evening workshop focused on making holiday entertaining less intimidating and more fun this Saturday, November 23rd.

Patrons can discover how to create impressive holiday cocktails, build locally sourced charcuterie boards, host a proper brandy tasting, and sweeten their skills with a casual dessert session.

Guests will taste and nibble their way through the first two sessions, and meet in the eatery for a long-table discussion about locally sourced charcuterie. The evening concludes with sweets, and the chance to purchase local gifts and supplies for their own entertaining.

Here’s what guests can expect for the $59 admission to the event:

Session #1 – The Art of Distilling with Distiller Rick

Patrons will learn about what makes craft distilling so unique, hear the stories behind Merridale’s rare library of spirits, and have an opportunity to taste each one with a paired canapé.

Session #2 – Holiday Cocktail Theory

Merridale’s expert bartenders will lead guests through the glitz of shaken cocktail making, as well as effortless punch-style cocktails that are served with beautifully paired canapés.

Session #3 – The secrets to creating a show-stopping charcuterie board

This long-table session will demonstrate how to build an irresistible charcuterie board without breaking the bank while displaying the food items like a pro. This session will include nibbles of locally sourced meats, cheeses, pickles, and preserves presented on the boards.

Session #4 – Sweet Endings

The final session will wrap up the evening with samples from their dessert board and fortified ciders.

“It’s a delicious and engaging way to kick-off the holiday season and an excellent opportunity to find unique gifts for those people on your list whose sophisticated palates make them impossible to shop for,” explains owner, Janet Docherty.

Although Merridale only offered a small number of tickets for this exclusive event, they still have around 20 remaining for purchase.

Most notably, guests will discover how to ramp up their entertaining while experiencing a cheery holiday event at a local staple.
