Two people were arrested after breaking into vehicles in a James Bay parkade over the weekend.

On Saturday, September 16th at approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to a call for a break and enter in progress at a secure parkade in the 100-block of Kingston Street.

Two men were observed by a witness within the parkade, were quickly located by police, and arrested after a short pursuit.

One of the men had more than 15 outstanding warrants and was held in custody. One man was released for future court appearance.

Several items had been stolen from vehicles in the parkade and were returned to the owners.

Police are reminding residents and visitors are reminded to never leave valuables in their vehicle, even when parked within a secure area, and to always enable your vehicle’s alarm when it is parked overnight.
