Victoria man on parole for murder wanted on Canada-wide warrant: VicPD (UPDATED)



On Friday, September 22nd, VicPD announced that on Thursday night, officers were able to apprehend Gordon Hansen.


VicPD are asking for the public’s help in locating a 70-year-old man who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for not complying with parole orders.

Gordon Hansen was convicted of second-degree murder but is now on parole. 

He failed to show up to his Victoria-based Community Residential Facility which his day parole requires him to do. 

VicPD say he was last seen in the evening of Wednesday, September 18th, in Victoria’s downtown core. 

Police describe Hanson as being 5’8”  tall, heavy set, with a bushy grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, jeans with suspenders and carrying a green shopping bag. 

VicPD is asking that anyone who sees Gordon Hansen, call 911.
