Nanaimo RCMP have issued a warrant for a 31-year-old man wanted on three charges including possession of stolen property, arson and theft of over $5000.

In November of last year, police allege that Jordan Mackie and another individual stole a landscaping truck and trailer belonging to a landscaping business.

They then reportedly drove the truck to a remote location and set it on fire. The two individuals attempted to flee the scene on foot but were soon caught by police dogs and arrested.

Mackie later appeared in Nanaimo Provincial Court but has since missed several court appearances and as a result, warrants have been issued for his arrest.

The other individual involved is currently before the courts.

Mackie is described as a Caucasian man, standing at 5’9” inches, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police have confirmed that the picture provided is recent.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Mackie, you can call Nanaimo RCMP at (250) 754-2345.
