Salt Spring RCMP have concluded their investigation following a search warrant conducted on a residence on Tuesday.
On August 23rd, Salt Spring RCMP, along with several other sanctions of the RCMP, executed the search warrant at a residence in relation to a firearms investigation.
An increased RCMP presence was expected on Salt Spring Island for the days following the incident as the investigation continued.

Now, RCMP say they have concluded their investigation, determining there was no criminality with respect to the property or its owner.
“The investigators have provided an update to those directly impacted and the file will be concluded without any charges being recommended,” said Sergeant Chris Manseau, Acting Senior Media Relations Officer for the BC RCMP.
According to reports, appropriate actions were taken ensure the safety of the community, and the police officers on scene due to nature of the initial information received,.
