Victoria’s newest multi-disciplinary yoga studio is opening its doors next week, Wednesday February 19th.

Third Space Movement provides a home base for a variety of unique forms of movement that are rarely found together under one roof.

They offer over 35 drop-in classes a week in disciplines ranging from yoga and acro-yoga to strength training and conditioning with kettlebells and rings. The focus on community and personal growth is a part of what makes this studio unique.

Third Space Movement is hosting an open house and class sampler on Sunday, February 23rd where they will be offering free classes from 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. and encourage everyone to drop by and view the space.

Anyone who attends the open house or tries out a class has the opportunity to enter the draw for door prizes.

“There are three main spaces where you spend your time,” says Katie Thacker, co-owner of the studio.

“The first is your home, the second is your work and that third space is where you go to find a deeper connection to yourself and your community. Third Space was created with the intention of providing a space for adults to move, play and connect.”

Alongside all the opportunities for exercise classes, Third Space Movement is the first studio in Victoria to offer extended time for self-guided practice, where members are able to come and use the equipment and space individually.

Later in March, they will be launching their dry sauna and cold tubs program for hot and cold therapy.

The studio will be diving into the education side of the fitness and movement world by providing a diverse range of workshops and training including Yoga Teacher Training and Wim Hof workshops.

Third Space Movement is centrally located at 721 Kings Street near Douglas and Bay.
