In an online update posted to its website, Loblaws confirmed a worker at its Shoppers Drug Mart location in downtown Victoria tested positive for COVID-19.
The last day the employee worked was on February 3rd at the Shoppers located at 1222 Douglas Street.
Loblaws keeps an updated list of employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 at locations around the province in the last 15 days.
“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores,” the parent company of Shoppers Drug Mart said on its website.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
