Police are looking for witnesses after a bystander was assaulted while coming to the aid of a youth being attacked in downtown Victoria on Monday.
According to VicPD, a bystander who attempted to break up a fight between four or more people in the 1300-block of Wharf Street was attacked with a skateboard.
The good samaritan was also kicked and punched during the attack — he left the scene prior to police arriving and investigators are looking to speak with him.
Attending officers found that the youth had been the victim of the assault and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects left the area before officers arrived, however, video surveillance showed that two or more individuals were involved in the attack.
