A Victoria masseur has been charged with sexual assault and under investigation for several other incidents.

VicPD are investigating Ajesh Jacob, a 35-year old Victoria man who has been charged with one count of sexual assault from an incident at a massage and reflexology business in the 700-block of Fort Street.

Ajesh Jacob, who goes by the name “Sam,” was employed as a masseur at that location at the time of the incident.

The Special Victims Unit (SVU) with VicPD began investigating the allegation in late March, as well as several additional allegations of sexualized violence involving Ajesh Jacob.

VicPD are looking for additional information as investigators believe there may be additional survivors who have yet to speak with police.

Jacob was arrested on May 13th for sexual assault as a result of that investigation.

In several online posts on Survivors Stories Projects, survivors said “Sam” would ask them to turn on their backs and he would uncover the upper half of their body before inappropriately touching them.

One survivor said the owner of the business gave them a gift card following an incident and reassured them the suspect would be terminated; however, upon returning months later, “Sam” was still employed at the location.

Jacob has since been charged with one count of sexual assault, and has been released on several conditions including not to perform massage services on any person.

Additional survivors have also come forward to report that they were sexually assaulted by Jacob.

VicPD are asking anyone with information to call them at (250) 995-7654.
