Three people have been arrested after a series of stabbings this past weekend which led to three people being admitted to hospital.

Around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd, VicPD officers responded to reports that a man was allegedly chasing two other men wielding a large metal pipe in the 800-block of Johnson Street..

VicPD located the suspect and a metal pipe with a sharpened end nearby.

Officers arrested him after learning that he had an outstanding warrant for a breach of a court-ordered condition. He now awaits a bail hearing in VicPD cells.

Later that night, just after 9:20 p.m., in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, VicPD responded to a report that a man had allegedly been stabbed by two men.

When officers responded to the area, they located a victim suffering from potentially life-threatening stab wounds in a tent.

Paramedics transported the man to hospital where he received medical treatment. His injuries are now considered non-life-threatening.

The stabbing suspects, VicPD learned, matched descriptions relating to the two victims from the previous call from the Johnson Street incident.

VicPD said that those two men were located when they attended an area hospital, themselves suffering non-life-threatening stab wounds. They were arrested by officers.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked by VicPD to call them at (250) 995-7654
