VicPD arrest suspect who shot at passing vehicles with pellet gun Saturday night

VicPD have arrested a suspect who was targeting passing vehicles with a pellet gun on Saturday evening. 

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on May 28th, officers responded to the 900-block of Pandora Avenue following reports of a man shooting a pellet gun at passing vehicles. 

According to VicPD, the man was shooting at the cars from a window of a suite in a multi-unit residential building.

Several officers attended the scene, locating the suspect’s suite where he surrendered to police without further incident. 

After further investigation, officers were able to conclude that the suspect’s shots did not strike a vehicle or person, and no one was injured during the incident. 

Two replica firearms and ammunition were seized from within the suspect’s suite.

The suspect was then transported to VicPD cells where he was later released with a court date and conditions. 

He faces recommended charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
